As of March 1, 2005, ISI Essential Science Indicators data were updated to cover an 11-year period, from January 1994 to December 31, 2004. With this update, the data pool expanded to include an additional 1,606 scientists, 202 institutions, 12 countries, and 23 journals that are either entirely new to the ISI Essential Science Indicators Web product, or new to one of the database’s 22 fields.
