Return to menu of New Entrants
April
2006
As of March 1, 2006, Essential Science Indicators
data were updated to cover an 11-year period, from January 1995 to
December 31, 2005. The following report shows those scientists and
institutions whose citation records reflect the top 1% of their fields for
the first time, and those journals and nations that are in the top 50% of
their fields for the first time.
With this update, the data pool expanded to include an additional 1,570
scientists, 159 institutions, 11 countries, and 35 journals that are
either entirely new to the Essential Science Indicators, or new to one of
the database’s 22 fields.
