As of July 1, 2003, ISI Essential Science Indicators data were updated to cover a 10-year plus 4-month period, from January 1993 to April 30, 2003. With this update, the data pool expanded to include an additional 2,026 scientists; 211 institutions; 18 countries; and 36 journals that are either entirely new to the ISI Essential Science Indicators Web product, or new to one of the database’s 22 fields.
