As of July 1, 2004, ISI Essential Science Indicators data were updated to cover a 10-year plus 4-month period, from January 1994 to April 30, 2004. With this update, the data pool expanded to include an additional 1,761 scientists, 213 institutions, 15 countries, and 38 journals that are either entirely new to the ISI Essential Science Indicators Web product, or new to one of the database’s 22 fields.
