August
2006
As of July 1, 2006, Essential Science Indicators
data were updated to cover a 10-year plus 4-month period, from
January 1996 to April 30, 2006. With this update, the data pool expanded
to include an additional 1,888 scientists, 158 institutions, 16 countries,
and 46 journals that are either entirely new to Essential Science
Indicators, or new to one of the database’s 22 fields.
