As of September 1, 2002, ISI
Essential Science Indicators
Web product data were updated to cover a 10-year plus 8-month period, from
January 1992 to August 31, 2002. With this update, the data pool expanded
to include an additional 1,359 scientists; 214 institutions; 12 countries;
and 27 journals that are either entirely new to the ISI Essential
Science Indicators Web product, or new to one of the database’s 22
fields.
The following table lists the 23 of the 1,359 scientists who are
entering a given field of the database with the highest total citations
(please note there is a tie in the field of Agricultural Sciences):
