December
2006
As of November 1, 2006, Essential Science Indicators
data were updated to cover a 10-year plus 8-month period, from
January 1996 to August 31, 2006. With this update, the data pool expanded
to include an additional 1,737 scientists, 228 institutions, 20 countries,
and 44 journals that are either entirely new to Essential Science
Indicators, or new to one of the database’s 22 fields.
