As of November 1, 2002, ISI Essential Science Indicators data were updated to cover a 10-year plus 10-month period, from January 1992 to October 31, 2002. With this update, the data pool expanded to include an additional 1,694 scientists; 197 institutions; 14 countries; and 40 journals that are either entirely new to the ISI Essential Science Indicators Web product, or new to one of the database’s 22 fields.
