As of January 1, 2005, ISI Essential Science Indicators data were updated to cover a 10-year plus 10-month period, from January 1994 to October 31, 2004. With this update, the data pool expanded to include an additional 1,826 scientists, 207 institutions, 6 countries, and 33 journals that are either entirely new to the ISI Essential Science Indicators Web product, or new to one of the database’s 22 fields.
