Essential Science Indicators
Web product data were updated to cover a 10-year plus 2-month
period, from January 1992 to February 28, 2002. With this update, the data
pool expanded to include an additional 8,922 scientists; 247 institutions;
37 countries; and 268 journals that are either entirely new to the ISI
Essential Science Indicators Web product, or new to one of the
database’s 22 fields.
Of the 8,922 scientists classified as new to ISI Essential Science
Indicators Web Product in some way, the 22 with the highest total
citations in each respective field are listed:
