As of May 1, 2002, ISI Essential Science Indicators Web product data were updated to cover a 10-year plus 2-month period, from January 1992 to February 28, 2002. With this update, the data pool expanded to include an additional 8,922 scientists; 247 institutions; 37 countries; and 268 journals that are either entirely new to the ISI Essential Science Indicators Web product, or new to one of the database’s 22 fields.
