Essential Science Indicators
Web product data were updated to cover a 10-year plus 6-month period, from
January 1992 to June 30, 2002. With this update, the data pool expanded to
include an additional 1,774 scientists; 228 institutions; 25 countries;
and 34 journals that are either entirely new to the ISI Essential
Science Indicators Web product, or new to one of the database’s 22
fields.
The table below lists the 23 scientists of the 1,554 new entrants who
entered the database with the highest total citations (please note there
is a tie in the field of Engineering):
