As of September 1, 2004, ISI Essential Science Indicators Web product data were updated to cover a 10-year plus 6-month period, from January 1994 to June 30, 2004. With this update, the data pool expanded to include an additional 2,031 scientists, 212 institutions, 13 countries, and 28 journals that are either entirely new to the ISI Essential Science Indicators Web product, or new to one of the database’s 22 fields.
