October
2006
As of September 1, 2006, Essential Science Indicators
data were updated to cover a 10-year plus 6-month period, from
January 1996 to June 30, 2006. With this update, the data pool expanded to
include an additional 1,594 scientists, 198 institutions, 18 countries,
and 42 journals that are either entirely new to Essential Science
Indicators, or new to one of the database’s 22 fields.
